metoCube ITIL procedures template is an add-on that loads ITIL's process structure onto metoCube. Organizations are becoming increasingly dependent on IT in order to meet their business goals. A lot of pressure is put on IT managers to deliver value to the business and justify IT budgets, through improving ROI and lowering TCO. This requires that IT organizations provide excellent services to their customers. And this can only be achieved through well defined processes.

The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), developed by OGC (Office of Government Commerce) in the United Kingdom, is a process-based approach to managing IT services. Used by hundreds of organizations throughout the world, it has become the most widely accepted IT process management standard.

ITIL is documented in a series of books that describe a set of processes that guide the IT operations of an organization. It is a framework that is not applicable "out of the box", and a methodology implementation project must be undertaken to transform it into something "executable". Processes need to be detailed to the point where they are deployable and operative on a day-to-day basis.

With the template you can streamline the adoption of the best practices described in the ITIL books by your organization, and improve the level of service provided to your customers. The structure of ITIL processes and organization is already loaded in metoCube, so all you need to do is specify how those processes will be carried out in your organization, with your specific applications and existing roles.

You can think of metoCube ITSM process template as the base from which you can start building processes that will leverage your IT investments, aligning IT staff work with business objectives, and facilitating change towards a service oriented culture.
